By: Peter Chubb | May 27, 2009 | Leave a CommentIf you are a lover of history and motorsport, then your worlds will collide when you visit the Studebaker Museum as one of the Five Studebaker cars that raced in the 1932 Indy 500 is now on show in the Museum.
The car in question is the number 18 car that managed to finish 12th in the race, Peter Kreis was the driver. He was in sixth at one point, but his car blew a tire and hit the wall with just 20 miles to go, but at least he was not hurt.
Wndu.com informs us that the 1932 Indy 500 car still competes, when you think how old the car is, that shows you how great the car really was. The car is a two-seater; this was because in 1923 all the cars had a driver and a mechanic during the race.
