By: Alan Ng | May 27, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt’s been reported that one Chrysler dealership owner is fighting back against Chrysler’s decision to axe his franchise. Joel Darner II, owner of Darner Motor Sales in Mesa is launching legal proceedings in an attempt to overturn the move by Chrysler.
As reported from EastValleyTribune, Joel Darner II is turning to friends, family, members of Congress and even Obama Cabinet officials for assistance with keeping his franchise open.
Chrysler on the other hand, is asking the bankruptcy court to officially approve the closing of about one-forth of their dealerships on June 9th.
The court hearing is scheduled to take place on June 3, where Chrysler will find out if the move can go ahead or not.
