Audi Q7 V12 TDI: Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson reviews
By: Peter Chubb | May 27, 2009 | Leave a CommentWhen it comes to reviewing cars, Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson is the best in the business, but it takes a lot for him to like a certain vehicle. Carmakers hate it when they have to give their car to the BBC for Clarkson to review, but it seems that no other journalist gives more of an honest opinion. This time it is the turn of the Audi Q7 V12 TDI.
It was last year when Audi decided to announce the news that they were to launch an insane version of its Q7 SUV, which is the Q7 V12 TDI. The SUV features an all-new diesel V12 engine, which only calls the Q7 home for the moment. The engine produces 500 hp and a heart stopping 758 lb-ft of torque.
Jeremy Clarkson took the new vehicle for a test drive and after had mixed feeling, one thing that we do know; he is no fan of the Q7’s looks. He thinks that the car is ridiculous, but adds that brute force has a way of twisting people’s arms, and the Audi Q7 V12 TDI has plenty of that.
