Lenovo are to offer the first Nvidia Ion platform based IdeaPad S12 netbook. The new netbook comes with an Intel Atom processor as well as up to six hours of battery life. The price of the Lenovo IdeaPad S12 netbook starts at $450, and should be ready for release by late July.
Techtree informs us that the S12 succeeds the older S10 model, which is not all that old itself. The newer larger S12 is the first 12-inch WXGA (1280×800) display from its netbook range. The netbook comes will all the usual suspects, such as its 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, Intel integrated GMA 950 and Nvidia ION.
Other features include a huge 320GB HDD and 1GB DDR2 533MHz memory. The 12-inch screen on the Lenovo IdeaPad S12 netbook will not be able to offer Full HD display, as it only offers a resolution of 1280 x 800. This is certainly a netbook that should be on your shortlist.
