Nokia Ovi Store Live
By: Peter Chubb | May 26, 2009
Engadget have just been informed that the Nokia Ovi Store is now live. The wait is now over as Nokia have now flicked the switch and made the Ovi Store available to the rest of the world, and not just Australia, Singapore and Ireland.
Nokia advises that you visit store.ovi.com on your handsets browser and then start checking out the apps that are available. Do not expect there to be a huge amount of applications at first, but what the store has is a start.
Nokia’s Ovi Store will now be in direct competition with RIM’s BlackBerry App World, Google’s Market Place and the king of the app stores, Apple iTunes App Store. When you hit the Ovi Store, you will be met with the message, Find Content for your Mobile: Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.
