HTC’s Fortress and Warhawk are AT&T’s Pro2 and Touch Diamond2
By: Peter Chubb | May 26, 2009 | Leave a CommentWe already know that Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon will all be getting versions of the HTC Touch Pro2, but what about Apple’s mate AT&T. It seems as if the carrier is getting the handset but is codenamed Fortress, they will also be getting the Touch Diamond2, which is better known as Warhawk.
Engadget informs us that the Fortress was due to be launched on Monday 25 may, but the information that it was based on, was a little old. The handset is expected to come with WinMo 6.1 AKU6, which will be upgraded to 6.5 once it is ready for download.
Other features include 3.2-megapixel AF cam, 3.6-inch WVGA display, HSPA on three bands and Video Share support. The Warhawk or Touch Diamond2 also has a 3.2-inch WVGA display, HSDPA and AGPS and should hopefully be ready for launch by August 24.
