Sony’s PSN and PSP to get music downloads
By: Alan Ng | May 21, 2009 | Leave a CommentYesterday, we informed you of the news of Sony’s possible move to introduce a PSP rental service for PS3 owners onto the Playstation Network. It appears they are not stopping there either, as we have heard reports that they are also planning to introduce music downloads on the PSN.
According to this Cnet report, Sony has already been in communication with a series of record companies discussing the idea. While no deals have been made yet, it looks as if this could well be a reality in the future.
The move is set to be a direct approach from Sony to make the PSP a more complete entertainment hub and attempt to rival the kinds of services the iPhone offers.
