
Chrysler Group LLC: C. Robert Kidder is new chairman

Robert Kidder has been announced as the new Chairman of Chrysler Group LLC, he is the former Chairman of Duracell International Inc and Borden Chemical Inc. Kidder will not start his new role until the company has completed its acquisition of the operating assets of Chrysler LLC, as well as completing its alliance with Fiat SpA (BIT:F).
Auto Blog reports that C. Robert Kidder will succeed Robert L. Nardelli. Kidder seems to be the perfect choice for the posting as he has over 40-years experience. His current job is with Morgan Stanley, he is a lead director there. He currently lives in his family home in Columbus, Ohio.
On April 20, 2009, Chrysler LLC announced its new restructuring plan; this included the famous closure list. This list had details of the 789 dealerships that would be closing in June. Chrysler LLC is currently in talks with Fiat to form a new vibrant company, which will be Chrysler Group LLC.
