Palm Pre News: Review of it’s place in the marketplace

With the release of the Palm Pre smartphone seemingly just around the corner, Palm are hoping that their new device will be a worthy competitor to rival handsets which will be released round about the sam time.

As the LATimes reports, Palm finally introduced the Palm Pre device to the public on Tuesday, showing off some of its features in a hope that it will persuade customers to favour the Pre against the likes of latest BlackBerry and iPhone models.

Roger Entner, head of telecom research at Nielsen Co. has said that this is a really important time for Palm and depending on the Pre’s success, could be make or break for the company.

“This is an opportunity for Palm to invigorate itself and become a serious contender. If not, that could mean the end of the road for Palm.”
