Great news for all you cell phone users, the Fennec mobile browser is now available. This is Mozilla’s Firefox for mobile, which is just a miniature version of the web browser. Fennec is only available for download to developers and testers at this moment, but it is getting closer to a consumer launch.
The Alpha form of Mozilla Fennec has been designed around the HTC Touch Pro running on the Windows Mobile platform. Jason Lassey, chief developer has said that Fennec will be the only mobile browser to support add-ons, something that has worked very well for its bigger brother Firefox.
Know Your Mobile warns us not to rush and download Fennec, as it is only a developer release; as a result it is full of bugs and performs slowly. The development team are working hard at the moment to help improve the mobile browser.
