Microsoft Windows 7 installed from external hard drives

Netbook users who do not own an external DVD drive were worried that they would not be able to install Microsoft Windows 7. Do not fear, as the new OS can be installed from external hard drives, allowing you to be able to give Windows 7 Release Candidate, a try.

Most of us know that Windows 7 Operating System is downloaded as an ISO file, this is then extracted to a DVD for installation. We all know that netbooks lacks a DVD drive, so a solution was needed. Remember that before you install Windows 7 to your external hard drive; make certain that you have about 5GB of free space.

The whole process takes just under an hour, and is a very simple process, which The Washington Post explains in detail. The process worked great for them on their Acer Aspire One, why not give it a try and let us know how it went.
