There has been some detailed information released on the next version of Microsoft Office. The technical preview for Office 2010 is not due out till July, but lucky attendees of Microsoft’s recent TechEd 2009 event were able to get an exclusive first look at the program in action.
According to WindowsITPro, the first huge change in Office 2010 is that the program will feature a new version of the ribbon UI that was first seen in Office 2007. It’s been reported that the new version of the ribbon UI will get rid of the handful of color schemes, in favour of the glass color that is specified by the user in Windows Vista or Windows 7.
There are also plenty of other interface changes, while it has also been confirmed that Office 2010 will come in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Read the link above for the full details.
