Sony’s New Digital SLRs: A380, A330, and A230
By: Peter Chubb | May 19, 2009 | Leave a CommentSony it seems is getting ready for the influx of people who love to take photos as we approach the summer months, which is why they are launching three new Digital SLRs, the A380, A330, and A230. These new cameras will be released in mid June in the UK and the cheapest model will have a price of £530.
The cheapest of the bunch is the Alpha 230; this 10.2 megapixel resolution is the world’s lightest DSLR to feature APS-C sized image sensor and in-body image stabilization. The problem with this is it does not feel as good quality as a heavier model.
The A380 has a 14.7 megapixel resolution, and has the ability to display 2 frames per second in Sony’s “live view” mode. The A230 replaces the A200 the A330 replaces the A300. These cameras are also available to those in the U.S. IT Pro Portal tell us that the prices will be $550, $650 and $850 respectively.
