Palm Pre’s 4G and 3G: New iPhone will have 3.5G

The biggest news in the world of portable communications has to be with the impending launch of the Palm Pre and the rumored new Apple iPhone. A reader on Cnet News has said that the Pre will have both 4G and 3G, and that the new iPhone will only have 3.5G.

We are not certain where the reader got their facts from, but it does sound very interesting. It seems that Sprint have added to this, by saying that all the new phones will have 4G. This has certainly confused us, which is it going to be, 3G 3.5G or 4G?

The reader also believes that the Palm Pre is going to kick butt, and that the iPhone will go out in the first round, well in Chicago any way. Now is the time for Sprint to shine, users have been waiting a long time to have a worthy phone that can compete with the big handsets, let us hope that the Palm Pre is the one.

We are not certain how long lived the success of the Palm Pre will be, as we know that there is a new iPhone on the way, we are just waiting for Apple to inform us when.
