Palm Pre to release on Walmart

Wal-mart has recently confirmed that they are to expand their electronics division, saying that they will be bringing the highly anticipated Palm Pre smartphone to stores throughout the US.

In a report by Electronista, Wal-mart revealed the news to the Wall Street Journal by telling them that they expect to stock the Palm Pre ’soon’. We have already heard about a possible June 7th release date for the phone, thanks to the recent Best Buy leak, so maybe Wal-mart are going to go head to head with Best Buy on release.

As Electronista points out, the move will see Palm match the two main stores in Best Buy and Wal-mart as the same stores that Apple use for their iPhone.
