
Joining Forces: Microsoft and Linux

According to this ComputerWorld report, the whole issue is about the American Law Institute (ALI), as they are planning to release a document about software contracts.
Microsoft and Linux are trying to get the ALI to ‘clarify a section of its document that concerns warranties on defects in software.‘ They also want the ALI to delay the publishing of the document, to allow for more time to solve the issue.
