Chrysler Dealerships Closing: Not all on dealers list will close
By: Peter Chubb | May 18, 2009 | Leave a CommentAlmost 800 Chrysler dealers are said to be closing, but some of those that appeared on the closure list insist that they will not be shutting. Owners in Carthage and Malone are just a few who say that they will not shut.
Take Dominic Condino Motors in Carthage, they insist that its business is not going to shut. They say that no matter what Chrysler decides, they will remain open. That is the same as Great Northern Motors, owner of the Malone’s Chrysler dealership, Stephen C. Bailey said that he could see a silver lining in Chrysler’s future, although it is still a bit cloudy at the moment.
Watertown Daily Time has said that out of the 789 dealerships to close, 28 are in New York, this is an attempt by Chrysler to streamline it business, something that needs to be done to safeguard the future of the automaker. Community leaders in the affected areas have said that they are saddened by the loss of these franchises.
