
Sony PS3 about to hit 23 million units sold
By: Alan Ng | May 15, 2009 | Leave a CommentDespite Sony Corps. reporting annual losses as seen here in our post yesterday, it has been revealed that Sony are about to reach 23 million Playstation 3 units sold worldwide.
According to GameZine, Sony managed to sell 10.06 million PlayStation 3′s for the 2008 year, which is an increase of 10 per cent from a year earlier. The 23 million mark is expected to be confirmed once results for April this year are released.
Sony have predicted that the Playstation 3 console will sell 11 million units during this fiscal-year, which seems rather optimistic, even for Sony. Gamezine point out that this predicted figure may involve a price cut along the way, we can always hope.
