Yawn yawn yawn, more childish BS. How many times have we heard this about exclusives only to see them ported some time later. They say this shit to butter up ps3 owners so they buy the game. The game does look great but to say it would not be possible on the x360 is stupid. The 1 and only development advantage the ps3 has over the x360 is the disc size and even that is very easily overcome.

dave. are u talking about file and data compression? u do no that the game want look as good wen compressed and it will push the xbox hardware more. u will lose sound and visual. they just 1 way they can do this and that is install data 2 a harddrive but then the xbox 360 has core no harddrive. i think thats 2 thing the ps3 has over the xbox. am a pc gamer just like the ps3 as well free online loving it. is that now 3 things? lol

I’m getting tired of these only possbile on (incert console name here) claims by devs, they are clearly an advertising tool designed to get the fanboys to do their work for them.

Having seen the demo, i’m not sure i would buy this game on either console, it just seemed boring & generic to me but i’ll reserve full judgment for when i get the chance to play the demo for myself.

I know i am fortunate in being able to own both PS3 & Xbox360 but i still don’t know why those with only one feel the need to appear superior in some way by their choice of console, i guess it must be a form of overcompensating for something.

i love both consoles, but killzone 2 and infamous, i dont think 360 could pull off . one of the biggest problems is bluray, 360 does not have the space, next is ps3 has 8 processors running at 3.2 each, 360 has 3@ 3.2, also the ps3 has more memory and a better graphics card running at 550 htz compared to 360 @500, there are other specs that the ps3 just smacks the 360, the 360 is a good system, however sony lookes to the future when they built there system , so much no one could develop on it for a while, there was quiet a learning curve. the last few sony exclusives from sony , you can really see a big difference in graphics and smooth game play vs. 360

boy you really get the 360 fan boys going with this, i dont care who makes the system, if yamaha or apple, made the system, if one is better its better. ps3 was made to last , that is why microsoft is releasing a new xbox around 2012 with bluray, the 360 is maxed out with what it can do, we have for the most part seen the most it can do, which is good, the new halo 3 may look better , i hope , they may of learned a few new tricks, i just love good games, dont give a shit if phillips makes it, just bring the good games, all fan boys are missing out , if you limit yourself to one system , you are missing out, both sony and microsoft have great games, put your pepe away and just play

Lol Lou before you make judgements about which one is better, I have both systems by the way. the Cell processor is faster then the 360 but the graphics card is slower on the ps3 then it is on the 360. You should look at some of the specs. mhz doesnt always been faster chips. and as for 3.2 ghz x 8 lol thats wrong too its 8 processors but 7 are dedicated smaller processors running at a slower speed then 3.2 and a main processor running at 3.2 lol dude do your homework. Fanboys are so oldschool now. Lets jusr praise both companies for coming out with sick games. enough said.

hay big guy, i also own both systems, and have game developers in the family, actually, sony is using 7 processors and has not even tapped the 8 th. i have done my homework maybe you should take another look, and look carfully. im a game fan boy, there are things i like and dislike about both systems, the ps3 is faster and has more you can do programming wise. it is what it is. take a look at the full picture. if you need real system specs on both systems ill be glad to email them to you.

Well you’ve heard it a lot from developer from 360 camp in which none of the games that they claim they could do none have been done on 360 they mentioned K2 and mgs4 now infamous the proof is that ps3 exclusives are totally better and more technical that’s that plus what do people saying these thing get out of NOTHING bottom line ps3 is better and 360 is showing age after 4 years that is sad. Yes the online is free for ps3 owners like myself, but xbox live is far better. As an xbox owner also i know. Plus it only costs £40/$60 a year! With what my ps3 costed me i could by and xbox then run xbox live for a few years! But this is a great PS3 exclusive Having said that I generally prefer the games on the xbox to be honest. I wish they just released a universal console that had the advantages of both put together, and the choice of controller type… would make life SO much easier.

I’m sorry but this is complete bull, I’ve got the game it looks like it could have been done on the Wii. The graphics would be unacceptable on the 360 and doesn’t displaying anything the PS2 or Gamecube didn’t on Spider-Man 2. It’s great how the city expands and decays but the lo resolution and jaggies look horrible and are unacceptable for a 1st party game and on a machine that endlessly boasts how powerful it is.

Microsift and Sony, I love them both , but because of Childish difrences and the greed for money wont ever make a system that you are refering to. I must admit it would be the best and so many people would buy it, but no, they would never agree to that.

I will admit that my friends father works at sony, the sports games and he said not to buy the PS3 and to get the 360 because the blue ray is so “slow” they need to put the same info onto the games disc multiple times just to increase the load times. even if they have 3 PS3′s, they are the earlier versions and they are the better ones.

I’ve played the demo and there is NOTHING in that game that the 360 couldn’t do and more. The game looks like garbage and the gameplay is equally poor. The 360 is a much better machine than the ps3 (I own both – thats my opinion) – you can install FULL games to the 360′s hard drive – can’t do that with the ps3 can you? Nope – stuck with slooooow transfers from the bluray drive.

lou the ps3 has 512mb and 96mb is used by the operating system so that leaves 416mb (224mb to the gpu and 192mb to the cpu) for game developers, the 360 has 512mb and 32mb is used by the operating system so that leaves 480mb (240mb to the gpu and 240mb to the cpu) for game developers, scientists have proven that the 360s gpu is better than the ps3s gpu, they found the RSX to be cloced at 500mhz not 550mhz plus it has no edram while the 360s gpu has 10mb edram so you tell me which is better now.

Wow Lou you must feel like a tard. Xbox with bluray. Yeah i dont think so. Microsoft doesnt care if you need to change discs. Their console performs better. Also you need to check your developer sources regarding the ps3 only using 7 cores. Anything with more then 1 core should always be using every core that is available. If you have 8 cores and are using 7 then what the hell is the 8th doing. Rather the OS should and would be smart enough to decrease the amount of work each cpu is doing, offload some of those processes onto the 8th core so it is all equal and overall save heat in the process. Which we all know heat is what slows down a cpu. Btw the 360 has the PS3 beat with less hardware specs and a cheaper price. Your beloved 6x bluray really only tacked on 300 to the price for nothing more then the ability to watch semi sharp dvds and save your fatass time from standing up and walking over to the console to insert a new disc. Forgetting Final Fantasy on the PS2 or PS1. You had to change discs 4 times.

i am really disseminated that inFamous wont work on any other console because I’m sure that if you could get it to work on the Xbox 360 system then you would get your moneys worth i would also like to say that inFamous is one of the best games i have played

It really sucks how the infamous videogame will not be able to be on Xbox 360. But im thinking about buying a ps3 becuase i think ps3 does acturally have better graphics than the Xbox 360 truely. I must say though theinfamous game looks SO AWSOME! This is one of those questions that bring out the childish behavoir in people. Everybody who’s a 360 fanboy typically says the PS3 games look like trash, and PS3 fanboys say the same back. I honestly don’t care in the slightest. But this questions makes me curious on so many fronts. inFamous, in my personal opinion, would look terrible graphics wise on the 360. Unless it used the rendering engine Gears used, it would look awful. Not because the 360 is the 360, but because everything on the 360 is insanely bright 90% of the time. When I played Mirror’s Edge at my friends house, I was nearly blind. A comparison video I watched prooved this to not be his TV. I see the 360 running this yes, do I see it doing well at all? No.

They are only saying that it can not be put on xbox 360 so that they can make more money on the PS3. Both consoles are really good, but as an xbox fan, I would say they put it on xbox.

I am so tired of people arguing which console is better. In my opinion its great to have both I love my ps3 and I love my 360 they both have some pretty awesome games. I wouldnt really say I like one more then the other it just depends if I want to play Killzone or Halo. They are both great consoles and I will continue to enjoy them BOTH for years to come. So just go buy both and stop complaining/ranting.

I know a few people on here have said there’s nothing on Infamous that couldn’t be done on the Xbox 360, but that is untrue.
Far more data can be put on Blu-Ray without compression and compromising loading times.

As for online gaming, I do believe the 360 has the edge. On the downside though, you DO have to pay for it and PSN is rapidly getting better.

I own both consoles and I think they’re both great, but Sony had a long term strategy with the PS3 and I think it will eventually come out on top. But until they bring out brilliant titles like G.O.W.2 for the PS3, I’ll remain loyal to both consoles.

Man, they must pay these guys alot of money to kiss that much ass. Acting as if the game is that advanced where only the PS3 can handle it.

I’m not going to sit here and praise Microsoft when the only exclusives they have that are any good (or rather WERE good.) are Gears of War, Halo, and Mass Effect. (Yes it was on the PC, but PCs are a non-threat) There’s only so many times a first person shooter can be interesting though..

There’s a reason most games are on all systems, so that fans can play the games they want, and the creators get paid. Isn’t that the main thing? But ofcourse companies want their product to have the edge. PS3 might have blue ray dvd, but I don’t want a dvd player, I want kickass videogames. Wii has (had) that motion sensor controller. Uninterested. It’s just a spin on their old gaming glove idea anyway. 360 supposedly had the backing of a multi-billion dollar company to produce the best games, especialy for internet capabilities considering it’s motherfucking microsoft.

After going through 3 machines in 3 years i think its safe to say for money ps3 lasts longer, ok its costly but your getting a blu-ray player aswell. The games are just as good as the xbox but if your as picky as me and you want to spend £40 on a game that demonstrates the full potential of the console then i’m sorry to let you xbox fans down but you can’t get better than gears and it don’t cut the mustard against PS3′s mgs4.

Andrew, i highly doubt “SCIENTISTS” have proven that.. In fact it probably hasnt been proven. The xbox is good but its not built to last long.. Look at anything Microsoft makes, it’s built to be replaced and fast.

Technically Speeking the PS3 has One Core Count em One core and 7 Spe’s (Threads) The 360 has Three Cores and 6(Threads) And as a PC Programmer That technically speaking makes the 360 more capable of pooshing more data to the screen. Sony is just trying to make themselves sound “Bigger,” and for the most part it is working to the public. Think about this though, What company do you think sony has to thank to even be running their PC’s and computers, Thats right Microsoft. Let me tell you I will shoot myself the day sony becomes more popular than them.

As much as I’d love to get InFamous, I’m not going to go out of my way just to get a PS3 when I already have a 360. I’ve seen the PS3, it’s cool and all but can I play Halo, NO!! Prototype is just about the same as Infamous, just different powers. If I could find a real cheap PS3, I might buy it.

However tech specs aside the ps3 is being used to the max and is producing the best games (UNCHARTED) who cares what the tech spec are like If there isn’t a game that takes advantage. Even tho I’m pretty sur ps rule on tech specs.

Billy you are right that PS3 is the superior system when it comes to technology. and PS3 definately has some great games out, but c’mon, dont you think its a little weird how 360 is superior in a lot of other areas reagardless of technology. So it doesnt have blu-ray, why is it that its a far more popular system still. I’ll tell you. because you payed heaps for your PS3 and you dont want to own up the fact that you didnt get your moneys worth in comparison to the 360. it has a better range of games and its online system (although it isnt free) is far better. plus the controler is far more suited to 1st person shooters which a majority of good games are being released as.

ha ha people who say the ps3 is the better console are crazy. ive got both nd the loading times on games and the online quality of games on the ps3 are pathetic compared to the 360s ive not managed to have a lag free game on the ps3 and when i play online on the 360 its only the odd time where i get ridiculous lag. the only game on the ps3 which i thought looked great was uncharted 2 where many 360 exclusives have looked impressive ie gears of war 2, mass effect (when that crazy shading problem aint happening) forza motorsport. also ive had my 360 since the day of its release and its only broken once and that was my own fault

Seriously, why the rivalry? Why can't they both be good? I don't have a PS3; I have a 360, and trust me, I get a lot more play time out of that than I ever would on the PS3. But that doesn't mean the PS3 is *bad*.

Even if it would look horrible on the Xbox 360, I care more about storyline and gameplay than the state of the graphics. Do I like things to look absolutely gorgeous? Hell yes. Will it kill me if they're not perfect? No, of course not. There's a reason I'm capable of playing PS1 games and the like without flinching. It's because they're good games on their own.

I am extremely disappointed that inFAMOUS won't be available on any other platform, though. I desperately want to play it, because it looks like such a damn good game. I won't buy a PS3 just to play version-exclusive games, however; I don't have the money, and even if I did, I just plain wouldn't get much use out of the PS3. The PS3 looks like a perfectly good system (I can't say for certain, as I've never used one myself), but I really prefer the Xbox 360 in general.

I've always thought that the very concept of exclusive games was a load of crap, anyway. Make the game for all consoles; to do otherwise isn't fair. I know that sounds immature, but if you're going to make these things for people to enjoy, it seems counter-productive to alienate a good chunk of the target audience.

I've seen a game go down and infamous 1 could of went down the same way on the 360 it would've used up 75% of its power and infamous 2 would use up almost 90% so it can work on the 360 and I love the PS3.
