PS3 Update 2.76: New firmware download only minor

We can now confirm to you that the Playstation 3 firmware has been updated. Update 2.76 is available to download right now, but is only a minor update according to Sony.
Eric Lempel stated over at the official PS Blog: ‘This is a minor update that improves the playback quality of some PS3 format software.’
What are you waiting for then, go and grab it. Maybe Sony have a better firmware in store for us at E3 2009, we have already heard rumors that something big is coming. We can always hope anyway.

Fried my ps3 as well. I had to restore it because nothing else worked. It is fine now, but all 300 gigs of stuff I had saved is gone. Fxxking bastards.
i need a link to update flashdrive & java . it is easy with a pc . but ps3 operating system
My 80 GB ps3 did fine downloading it but i also want to play music while playing some games it kinda sucks that the Xbox360 can do that stuff but the ps3 cant
the reason your ps3s are faulting is because of the model not the firmware. i have 120 slim and it worked fine
XBOX 360 HAS IT ALL RIGHT NOW. I OWN BOTH SYSTEMS AND I AM GETING TIRED OF WAITING FOR SONY TO DO THERE PART. IVE HAD MY PS3 FROM DAY 1. IT JUST SITS THERE BECAUSE THE WAY YOU CONTACT FRIENDS IS SO PRIMITAVE COMPARED TO XBOX. AND THATS THE TRUTH AND ITS DISAPOINTING.
