If you require even yet more evidence that a new iPhone is on the way soon, here it is. We have news from Apple themselves, as they are now offering free delivery for online orders of the iPhone 3G.
As reported from IntoMobile, this is great news for those who are not too bothered about picking up the latest hardware straight away, but rather prefer to pick up a bargain when one comes around.
The iPhone 3G is still pretty appealing to those who dont have one, so if you fancy picking one up from AT&T with free shipping, this is the deal for you.
Head to the Apple store here for more details.

There is no Iphone 4g!! Learn what 3G and 4g Mean! The only carrier that has 4g is sprint with verizon doing a roll out in 2010… ATT is using LTE as their 4g network HOWEVER they do not have that in place yet… SO HOW CAN THERE BE A 4G IPHONE? Just because there is a new iphone does not make it a 4G phone….
Bobby, We aren’t talking about mobile phone networks here.
Before when they had the iPhone 2G which means second generation, then they had the 3rd generation and now Apple claims there is a new iPhone coming out.
An iPod Nano 3G doesn’t mean it’s connected to a mobile network. iPod Touch 2G doesn’t mean it’s connected to a mobile network.
It is the indication of what version of device it is.
You are an idiot, Ben. The G stands for generation. Sprint is the only network with 4G, but even that is bogus because the industry has not even agreed upon what the industry standards for the next generation will be. That being said, I realize this post is past the date the iPhone 3GS has come out, and obviously you were wrong. iPhone 4G is supposedly in the works, but AT&T does not even have a hard plan to roll out a 4G network (at least not publicly), which leads to more speculation that the next version of the iPhone with GPS, larger storage, SMS and MMS capability, and a brand new iChat video camera on the *front of the device will likely be available through not only AT&T (when they get their asses in gear), but probably a few other carriers as well.
