Confirmed: Call of Duty 7 being developed by Treyarch

Some of you might of expected this, but it’s still pretty big news. It has been confirmed that Treyarch will be developing Call of Duty 7. The game will be the successor to World at War which was their last title.
According to Shacknews, Treyarch Senior Animator David Kim recently revealed on his blog profile that development work for COD7 is already underway. A quote from him states:
“I am currently on my second title as a senior animator in the games industry with Activision / Treyarch on Call Of Duty 7”
In case you aren’t aware, the Call of Duty franchise usually switch developers during each year. This has been the case with Modern Warfare 1 and 2 being handled by Infinity Ward and World at War and COD7 by Treyarch.

call of duty has to stop making those world war games they have been way to over done and i cant take them any more.
Okay this is a game that has so far been decided to be set in the cold war!:) Only problem is it is treyarch but at least it isnt another world war game which is good so yeah that is what I heard thank you.
No yet another badly designed and written installment of COD please please only let Infintiy Ward do any future ones!!!!!
I’m sick of being stuck on random invisible walls etc on COD WAW.
I prefer call of duty World at war to call of duty 4, I never saw anything special in 4, I mean no co-op, an exceptionally short single player…
Treyarch is not bad. Cod 3 has a great multiplayer, and so does CodWaW, but cod 3 is unique in its class system and capability to play split screen online. i love to share the specialmoments with my friends
VIETNAM!!!!!!!! There hasn’t been a Vietnam game yet that has pleased me, I cant wait.
I agree the single player on 4 was fairly dire. But at least you didn’t get stuck on invisible walls and 2 inch high rocks!!!
Ah well each to there own hey I just can’t wait for COD 6 personally!
i have been waiting for another Vietnam FPS since Men of Valor. Please let it be true!
Well…..WW2 has been used in video games too much, but I guess I am looking forward to a new setting like Vietnam or something (it will be hard to pull off a good storyline and multiplayer for vietnam war game, other games tried and failed). Especially for Treyarch, who’s Call of Duty games weren’t as good as IW’s.
Cod 4 was a great game no doubt. but cod waw has dismemberment and n*** zombies. please in cod 7: keep those 2 items. because cod modernwarfare 2 has no dismemberment but is rumored to have a form of n*** zombies.
are the rumors true? cod7 NOT on ps3? only on ***** xbox?

it will be on ps3 as well because they would hope to get a great profit and well it isn’t going to be produced by Microsoft or anything.
