Confirmed: Call of Duty 7 being developed by Treyarch
By: Alan Ng | May 14, 2009 | 25 CommentsSome of you might of expected this, but it’s still pretty big news. It has been confirmed that Treyarch will be developing Call of Duty 7. The game will be the successor to World at War which was their last title.
According to Shacknews, Treyarch Senior Animator David Kim recently revealed on his blog profile that development work for COD7 is already underway. A quote from him states:
“I am currently on my second title as a senior animator in the games industry with Activision / Treyarch on Call Of Duty 7”
In case you aren’t aware, the Call of Duty franchise usually switch developers during each year. This has been the case with Modern Warfare 1 and 2 being handled by Infinity Ward and World at War and COD7 by Treyarch.
What do you make of the news? There is talk of a ‘Vietnam’ setting for the next installment, would you welcome this? Let us know your thoughts below.
