Following the huge and somewhat surprising news that gaming publisher Atari has pulled out of this year’s E3 event, one website has claimed that Sony have had a lot to do with the decision. But why?
As revealed on GI.Biz, Atari made this statement: “Atari has made the proactive decision to attend but not exhibit at this year’s E3 event. ”
Website Gamestooge believes that this decision has a lot to do with Sony and have listed a few reasons why this could be. Mainly, they bring up the much talked about Ghostbusters publishing saga and the fact that Sony have taken over publishing rights for Europe and the UK.
Ignore the strange comment about Tekken 6 being an Atari game, we’re not sure where they got that from. Back to topic though, something obviously has happened for Atari to pull out of E3.

You’re kidding, right? Tekken has traditionally been a PlayStation franchise.
