Google engineers have been hard at work and are set to launch a few new services two of these are Google Squared and the Sky Map phone app. Google Squared will be launching sometime this month allowing users to order up an instant spreadsheet on any topic that they choose.
Google Squared is composed of neatly tabulated information, which Google has taken from the web at lightning speed. LA Times thought that they would try this service, they searched for small dogs, and Squared came back with a grid that organized the search by breed, gave descriptions and statistics of each dog along with photos.
Google also have Sky Map, a new mobile phone application. This app uses the Global Positioning System capability of a smartphone, along with its compass and accelerometer. Sky Map is able to draw a real-time map of the stars; it even takes into account of where you are standing, or what direction you are facing.
