How often do you get someone like Oprah’s personal trainer, Bob Greene working on a game. Well this is exactly what has happened with the new EA Sports Wii Active. The game is fun and offers the user an inexpensive way to maintain a regimen of physical fitness and healthy living.
The game has a wide variety of interactive activities as well as exercises; these are then linked to an ever-changing circuit training routine. This particular routine targets the muscles of the upper and lower body, as well as giving you a great cardio workout for a healthy start.
EA Sports Wii Active offers the user a perfect way to keep fit, and can be enjoyed by the whole family. The game has been designed around the standard Wii Remote/Nunchuck, and what makes the game so different to other exercise games in the past is that it is more focused physical activities.

I’m surprised many people are having a problem with the Nun-chuck. My friend used it and he was having the same problems, but he wasn’t doing the exercises correctly, I was however and it works perfectly fine.
The issue I have with the game is a software glitch. I have 2 profiles set up and for some reason it won’t select exercises with the Wii Balance Board for profile 1, it does for profile 2. Both profiles have the Wii Balance Board setting set to Yes. I’ve tried emailing EA but they’ve been very unhelpful so far and disappointed in their response. Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon
Hey does anybody know what happens when you miss a workout ?
Thanks
If you miss a workout in the 30 day challenge it just puts it as a rest day.
Hi
My husband and I are loving Wii active and am currently doing the 30 day challenge. the problem is, is that the leg strap has torn a bit and obviously the more we use it the worse it gets. We have to pull it tight while on legs as they fall down when on the running. anybody got any suggestions!
I noticed yesterday that they now sell the leg band and extra tension band seperate…think it was around $20.
What do you do if it gets stuck and stops with a message on the screen? I have tried doing what it says, but nothing happens.
I agree that the Fun element is the whole point of a Games machine - fun that keeps you fit. Of course, you can always customise a workout as indicated above.
If you want muscle strength and tone buy a Bullworker X5 - so much faster and use the Wii for extra stuff and variety.
