Microsoft Windows 7 and the financial impact
By: Peter Chubb | May 12, 2009 | Leave a CommentMicrosoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) decided to announce that they would be releasing Windows 7 in time for the 2009 holiday season. The new operating system was originally going to be released in January 2010, the early release could have a huge financial impact on the Redmond based company.
Cnet News has taken a closer look in to this early release, and state that they do not know how the market will react to Windows 7. Many Windows users were put off with Vista; Windows will have to work hard to gain the respect of its avid Windows users.
It is also not certain if the enterprise market will adopt the new OS for its existing machines. When Windows 7 is launched, we should not expect much. There will be some growth in revenue and it will grow, but only once consumers have confidence in the new software.
