Another Xbox 360 exclusive goes to PS3

Whether it sounds familiar to you or not, there are big reports of the Xbox 360 losing another exclusive to the Playstation 3. It was reported that Microsoft paid an unprecedented amount for this content, but it now looks likely to make it’s way over to the Sony PS3. Can you guess what it is yet?

The content we are talking about of course is the Lost and Damned DLC content for Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto IV. According to this Digital Spy article, the content is set to make it’s introduction on the Playstation 3 in August.

Digital Spy obtained the info from the latest issue of PSW magazine, which claims that Microsoft only had the DLC content as a timed exclusive for six months. This seems to make sense as it was back in February when the Lost and Damned content was first released onto the 360.

As of yet, Rockstar have refused to comment on the rumors but you can be sure that the pressure will be on Rockstar to spill the beans after this. We want to know your thoughts on this. Did you see this coming, or is this a complete shock to you?

    I saw it coming honestly, if Rockstar took exclusivity away simply because there’s a ton of money they’re missing out on with regards to the 360…then it seems only natural that they’d do the same with any DLC. The sales figures (or lack thereof) for L&D on the 360 however, only further confirmed this eventuality. You can bet it’s going to happen eventually. The sooner the better, because I’m holding out for a PC release, following the PS3.

    on another note is aboluty stupid for a company who makes multiplatform games to only offer DLC on one console. Even with MS bribes. They stand to make more money by offering the DLC across both platforms. I bet they figured this out and regret taking MS money. Fuck MS and Rockstar, because of this type of bs they are hurting the gaming industry.

    WOW, This is shocking to me. I own a PS3 and really thought the DLC for GTA 4 was only on xbox as an exclusive. I was a bit mad because of this because not only did microsoft take the game away from the PS3 as an exclusive they also made it seem like the game was also better on xbox. I cant believe this might come to the PS3 and i know if it come alot of 360 gamers will be pissed off, and sony will just laugh. I personally will enjoy this comeing to the PS3 and cant wait.

    exclusives on multiplatforms are dumb. Unless of course each platform gets diff. but equal content.

    idiot… this was a timed exclusive from the start. You want to get the content FIRST, while the game is still relevant. They said it was timed from the get go.
    And if the tides have turned, someone forgot to tell the US consumer, who stays away from the PS3 like the plague. Oh, and Home really rocks.

    totally disagree with this comment, if you ask me, sony has a lot goin for it these days, Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, GOW3, Infamous, thats alot of A+ exclusives this year alone.

    damn, good news but i haven’t played GTA IV for months, totally finished the game and got board driving around with nothing to do and the online modes, even the trophy patch couldn’t tempt me back again. shame, the DLC is too late coming, i’ll be giving it a miss.

    A PS3 Magazine releases a RUMOUR and so many people take the bait!!!!? doesn’t that remind you of MGS3 rumors all pointless? but it give’s said company’s some great free advertising (Look at the sales the very average Assassins Creed got). It’s always been known from the start that PS3 will be getting content but NOT a game just things like new weapons clothes etc.

    GTA was never a console exclusive it was a Commodore Amiga game.
    As for Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy they were from Nintendo.
