Notion of Apple buying Twitter

The Internet is full of rumors, but this latest one about Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) buying Twitter for $700 million just seems one rumor too far. I, like PC World cannot see the deal ever taking place, but you have to wonder what would happen if they did.

So where did the original source of the rumor come from, well Owen Thomas of Valleywag. For those who do not know him, think of him as Perez Hilton of high tech. PC World does not take anything that Owen says seriously, although they do add that they love him.

This is not the first stupid rumor and it will not be the last, but this has to be one of the worst out there. Could you ever see Apple buying Twitter, well we cannot, but hey we know that anything can happen right.
