T-Mobile G1 users get Cupcake update next week

Phones Review has been doing some digging over on forums.t-mobile, and it seems as if T-Mobile G1 users in the U.S. will be receiving the Cupcake update next week. Those in the UK are already enjoying Android update1.5.

No all T-Mobile G1 users will receive the Android 1.5 cupcake update at the same time; this is because it is to be rolled out over-the-air. All G1 users should expect to have the update by the end of May.

For those who do not know much about Android 1.5 Cupcake, the software update brings with it a host of improvements, such as YouTube and Picasa uploads direct from the T-Mobile G1. Phones Review points out that it is nice for brits to receive something before the U.S. for a change.
