RIM BlackBerry phones to get DRM-free music via 7digital
By: Peter Chubb | May 7, 2009 | Leave a CommentRIM BlackBerry phones will soon be able to compete with the likes of the Apple iPhone if DevelopIQ as anything to do with it. They will be working alongside 7digital to offer DRM-free music, which is downloaded over the air to your BlackBerry device.
This new service will be ready in the summer, and the massive license library of 7digital has attracted the attention of a number of other players. Into Mobile informs us that BlackBerry is working on some of their other apps with their music library.
Into Mobile certainly love the 7 Digital app, they reckon that it is the slickest that they have seen to date. There are two panes on the left and right, they are then summoned either by temporarily reprogrammed convenience keys, or with the quick scrollball swipes. The app also allows you to plug right into your BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway.
