New Apple Macs could get integrated 3G wireless

It looks as though future Apple Macs could be getting an upgrade to integrated 3G wireless. Ars Technica reports that Apple has posted a job listing for a Communications QA Engineer, the candidate will be required to work with the Mac Hardware Group.

Candidates applying for the job need to have “in-depth knowledge of one or more Comms technologies, one of which includes, “3G Wireless WAN.” As you would expect, this job listing has added more credibility to rumors of future Apple MacBooks with built-in 3G networking.

Glenn Lurie, from AT&T has already said of his interest in offering 3G-equipped MacBook to AT&T customers. There were rumors last month that a MacBook with internal 3G networking hardware might be spotted at WWDC in June. Add to that the rumor of a MacBook/iPhone-hybrid iTablet with built-in 3G making an appearance, and we are all set for a great show.
