Dell Android-powered netbook

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Dell will be offering a new netbook that will use the Google Android operating system. This is instead of Microsoft software, which Dell has always used up until now.
Originally, Google Android OS was developed for smartphones, but it has proven so popular that netbook makers saw the potential to break away from the stranglehold of Microsoft Windows software, and offer its users something different.
It is hoped that these Dell Android-powered netbooks will be cheaper in price, as Android is free, unlike Microsoft’s Windows software. Dell has said that the press release on this new netbook was published in error, but he did not deny the rumor.
