
US Wal-Mart enters China’s convenience store market

The chain is to open three shops in the southern city of Shenzhen; this is according to reports from reuters.com, who have been talking to a company official.
Wal-Mart, who we now has a huge range of hypermarket and mega-stores across the U.S., opened three convenience stores in China last December, this was part of its pilot program, The U.S. store giant has up until now maintained tend a low-key approach.
The three new stores will help to provide a service to the local community; each store will be roughly 300 square meters each. It seems as if Wal-Mart is about to stretch its legs, but the question is, what country will be next?
