I base the excellence of a system over how many good 1st party titles a console has. I love castle crashers, and I love super stardust HD but I believe Ps3 has this one! Street Fighter HD is much better along with all other fighters on the dualshock controller. I love all insomniac, Team Ninja, sony santa monica, and japan studio games. Action/RPG/fighters are much better graphically and controlwise on ps3. I own both systems I own about 11 games on 360 and about 27 games on ps3. Ive had both consoles since they came out. Gears, blue dragon, and cod2 are the reason i have my 360. besides that my girlfriend uses it for fable and a couple others. As far as web based downloadable games go, I think they should redo old games for psn and 360 live instead of bringing them out in disc format. For instance, a new side scrolling castlevania, or gradius, or a new mega man, or even a new contra should be put online download only. Don’t put tons of money into making something new and 3d, make it better 2d hd graphics and an old school feel and bring it out for 20$ and it would be amazing. Punisher was awesome on psn btw!
For a gamer who has both consoles and aint a fanboy of any of them as am a typical gamer who just enjoys gaming. But this debate is about console exclusives, and my views are that these consoles still lack a varity of exclusives and to make matters worse 360 exclusives are most sequels. But owning a 360 and ps3 over 2 and half years i feel that i gain more enjoyment out of ps3 games due to orginal story and better graphics, but as stated with the 360 bout 30% are sequels from ps2
got both consoles
have to say my i like my 360
but i love my ps3
they are both epic but the ps3 just wins for me ;o)
As a PS3 fan(but not a fanboy) I’m perfectly happy with the PS3’s exclusives. I’m a late adopter, but now I’m here, I’m really reaping the rewards. I’m tucking into all the Platinum games as well as stuff from PSN such as Flower, High Velocity Bowling, Wipeout HD GT5 Prolog and home is starting to look interesting. I’m currently working through MGS4 and Uncharted 1. I’ve finished Resistance 2(bundled) and enjoyed it emensley. I’ve also got LBP(bundled) which I’m leaving until later.
I’m looking forward to playing KZ2,GOW3 and Uncharted 2 to mention but a few. Am I happy with my PS3 exclusives? Exceedingly!
i own both consoles, and i have to say i like, or should i say love my ps3, i have about 22 games for ps3, 15 for 360, im already on my 3rd xbox 360, sorry to say its made so poor, my ps3 has been superb, i like shooters, and other then gears and halo, to me ps3 titles are much better , graphics are much better, gameplay is better, i play on a major 7.1 dolby digital system and ps3 sound is also superior, i like my 360, but it just does not quiet compare, i think 2009 and god of war 3 is going to put a end to 360 better sales numbers, also there 30% fail rate, and iv seen this first hand, GO SONY PS3 ITS YOUR TIME TO SHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to say that the 360 does it for me. I play a lot of co-op online games and 360 rules. I own about 5 PS3 games and nearly 100 xbox 360 games. Looking forward to God of War 3 and Halo ODST. I do use the PS3 for downloading of movies through the PSN and watching my blu-ray disks. All in all, I would have to say that it is a win win situation when you own both systems.
i agree, a true gamer needs both systems, sony and microsoft have great games, if i only could have one system i would choose the ps3 but, that would still suck, i love many games on both. i cant wait for, god of war 3 , new halo, infamous, mag, drakes 2 among thieves, section 8 , i think that is what it is called, and many more i just cant remember all the title names. the bottom line its about the games, one of the biggest things about microsoft, is that im one my 4th console i believe, to one ps3. 360 should be more reliable by now.
I believe the excellence of a console is based on the ammount of posibilities it has. Portables came out cause of what you can do with them(take them places). I love how sony revamped itself by being a supercomputer and the psp is a mini laptop! I believe all great ideas take time but in the end it justifies the means.
I currently own an Xbox 360 with around 13 games including a variety of games. However my love of metal gear solid games from the playstation needs a patch and with the release of Killzone 2 which looks astonishing i was think of shelling out the big money to buy the ps3.
Your thoughts please…
Metal gear and killzone are up there with Gears and halo! the ps3 rocks my socks! Infamous is also BA if you like comicbook/action adventure games. Playstation really excels in action games overall! God of war 3, heavenly sword, uncharted, ratchet… must I go on?
i own both systems, if you love great games , you need both systems. i love my 360, i love my ps3 a bit more, but to each is own. killzone 2 is the best shooter made right now on any system, i play all the halos. gears of war 1 and 2 , resistance 1 and 2 on ps3, also , orange box, which is on both, metal gear solid is superb, ps3 has many more great games comming in 2009-10, infamous, mag , god of war3 , drakes 2 among thiefes, just to name a few, but to answer your question, yes buy a ps3, its a superb system, great games wifi ready, no xtra costs, the controllers charge no xtra costs, bluray player, internet browser, 80 gig hd, and all bluetooth compatable, really the best system on the market for the money
Thanks, i shall be getting a ps3 at the end of the month bundled with killzone 2 and resistance at my local retailer for approximately £319.99. When i get my psn setup i don’t think i will be putting the controller down. Roll on the playstation 3.
yeah p3 is the way to go! at least that way it won’t break on ya 9 times like my 360!
no prob, you will love your ps3, there is so much you can do, you will also have a bluray player, store your pictures, on it , remember you can add and labtop hard drive internal in the ps3 up to 800 gigs, and that is internal, you can add a external hard drive usb very easy to , you cant do that on 360, psn has great demos and blu ray movies and tv shows to download, and psn is free, you dont have to pay for a gold membership like with 360. the bottom line is you will love it, the titles in 2009 and on are the best to hit on any system, have a blast
