It looks as if RIM are trying their hardest to convince customers in the US that the Apple iPhone 4G isnt the only hot cell phone out this year. Well today, we have had confirmed news of a second generation Blackberry Storm.
According to this IntoMobile report, RIM Co-CEO Jim Balsillie has confirmed the Blackberry Storm 2 to be in development at the moment. Features should include an enhanced touchscreen, although its not clear whether the SurePress tech which featured in the first model will return.
One feature which lacked in the original was Integrated WiFi, so the Blackberry Storm should incorporate this in the new model we predict. As for a release date, this coming September has been thrown into the pipeline, but we all know how quickly release dates can change, so we’ll have to wait and see.

OMFG FTW!!!
so what - the first storm is/was a terrible….its like saying the CEO of Chysler just announced a new monster
SUV that get 6.1 miles to gallons…but looks so super cool!!!
Bbberry is old news….sad but true.
lack of wifi is annoying, but that is only used sometimes. Lack of a good touchscreen interface but used always is a show stopper.
I really hope RIM rethinks / gets rid of the Sure Press, and tweaks the accelerometer’s responsiveness…
