Rumor: Electronic Arts (EA) Takeover by Apple

As seen by the great image above, there have been rumors surfacing of a EA takeover by none other than Apple. The news comes from Kotaku as they report of a bit of ‘chatter’ from several financial types in relation to the ‘takeover’.

Quite hard to believe I know, but thats what Kotaku has reported after gaining some information via David Tong from TheStreet.

Do you think a takeover of EA by Apple could happen? We think it’s highly unlikely, but its an interesting topic to discuss anyway. Let us know what your thoughts would be on such a move.

    Woot i’m so open to this I mean god think about it, the mac’s only (so called not in my opinion) downside, but since the iphone has come apple has seen potential, It makes me wonder though If apple did buy EA would they keep it separate or call it Apple Games or would they bring out a console and make all games Mac and Macplay (random name for an apple console, hard to think of anything good since iPlay and iConsole sound cheesy) only and all EA games like the sims get banished from PCs, you see apple doesn’t care about making a company smaller if they grab more market with their macs, they would put all PC gamers in a bad spot because EA makes some of the best games meaning the Mac would become top of the PC gaming chain and if that did happen apple would build macs to embrace gaming more also, not that they won’t anyway seens as they have seen the success of the iPhone games, though this EA takeover could just be referring to the iPhone division, but if it was the iphone division they would have been better off going for Gameloft, but who knows if this is fact or fiction (most likely fiction) but i’d love it, an Apple console still counldn’t part me from my beloved PLAYSTATION OF GOD!!!!!!, in fact apple should but play station of sony, that would be one awesome takeover where apple suddenly kills the Suxbox faster than sony are doing and claimed a crown with the Apple Playstation, in brushed aluminum! with a sleek design like all apple products, the Apple Playstation would rock… but that will never happen, will it?, also if apple really should buy anyone it should be Adobe, the whole creative suite will be theirs and all those sucking PCs can have CS5s when all the Macs are enjoying ultimate power on CS6, yeahhhhhhhhh! CS6, long way away huh, I gave it time xD
