In an interesting move, it appears that Apple have acquired the services of Richard Teversham, a former Microsoft employee. He used to be the European senior director of business, insights, and strategy for the Xbox so we wonder what input he’ll now have on the future of iPhone gaming.
As reported by PCWorld, its not sure what direct role Teversham will have in relation to the iPhone, as his official title is an “education-related role” for now.
Apple have yet to confirm Teversham’s appointment to the board, but Microsoft have had this to say: ”Richard Teversham has taken a new opportunity outside of Microsoft.” They also said that he was an an ”integral part of the success of Xbox in Europe and in the U.K.”
The big question though, is just how will his appointment affect the future of iPhone gaming? We have already seen a massive push into the market with console games such as Metal Gear Solid, Assassin’s Creed already available for the iPhone, with plenty more to come this year.
