Palm Pre Release Date Update: Sprint on June 7

We have recently been reporting on rumoured release dates for the Palm Pre. It was thought that the device would be released during mid-may, but now fresh reports have indicated a June 7th release for the Pre.
As reported from IntoMobile, there are two apparant release dates for the Pre. One of these is June 7th and the other is unknown at the moment. They have also stated that Palm and Sprint will have to launch the Pre by June 30th so it is looking likely that June will be the month where the device is finally released.
Stay tuned for more information, but for the moment, Palm Pre fanatics can pencil in June 7th on your calenders.

if palm doesnt release the pre soon i am jumping ship. I have been with sprint for 11 years and have yet to have a descent phone—now finally it looks promising—palm wants to play marketing recess with its customers—i know many who have already given up as I will soon. Palm needs to get its act together and quit listening to the 24 yr old mba’s advising them
I’m with you and ready to move on from the Palm. I’ve been waiting the last 6 months to get the phone with a beat up Treo that needs replacing. I’m out of contract with sprint so the blackberry storm is looking more attractive everyday. One can only expect one to wait so long. At least give a release date already instead of playing games. Very frustrated and trying not to jump ship.
i agree, enough with the stupid rumors already!!!! i been with sprint for about 10 years and i am really upset with how they are handling the release of this device. all we get are BS rumors and pictures of other people using the phone. i already started looking into getting an iphone. a refurbished one goes for about $150. and with the updated OS this offer is more and more tempting everyday.(as in everyday that we don’t get info on the price or release date of the pre)…. i’m slipping away sprint!… but what’s another customer lost to you guys anyway when you’ve been losing them by the millions each quarter.
Ha, thats funny, it seems as though june 8 will be the release date of the iphone 3.0 OS and so Palm Pre will come out a day before,. Thats clever on their behalf
4500 units is hardly a release…this is simply when the employees at the Sprint stores will be getting the phone to train on so they’ll be able to sell the device when it finally does come out. Probably end of June. And what’s this about the PRE being released at Best Buy? Why would Sprint stores not be involved in the release? This is way too important for both Palm and Sprint to put in the hands of 3rd party reps. Not happening. That would be insanely stupid.

it’s only for sure until they announce it…i want it june 7th as badly as anybody here i know ppl have been waiting for it since january…ive been waiting for it since march so i just hope its also june 7th but wut if they say late june or july or even august that would suck
I also am tired of waiting. I have enjoyed my service with sprint, but I feel like being played with. Starting to think about the iphone myself. I think this waiting game is going to cause them to lose a lot of customers.
My friends and I have been saying the same thing for the last couple of months…don’t make everyone angry by teasing them. People are impatient with their fast food and hi-speed internet. Don’t talk about the best phone ever to come around and then say it’s 6 months away. They WILL lose customers over this…I’ve almost bought new phones already myself..there’s a lot of cool stuff out there.
yeah i hear ya, i think this might be it though, if they keep it til later i don’t see anything good coming from it, but tomorrow (May 19th) palm or sprint is suppose to announce something in the Wall Street Journal.. so could this be it??!? I think it might be, and best buy has already gotten the touchstone chargers, and sprint stores are training this month and blacked out all vacation days for this month!! this is it we’re getting closer, one more day to really find out what the date’s gonna be!
