Apple iPhone lite and a tablet-like device

Some big news now regarding Apple and their apparant plans to release new devices this Summer. It has been reported that Apple are preparing to launch not one, but two devices with one of those devices launching this Summer.

According to ArsTechnica, one of the devices is a smaller and cheaper iPhone, while the other is a tablet-like media pad.

Both devices will be launched in partnership with Verizon after info was leaked and obtained in this BusinessWeek story. At the moment, there is very few details on the upcoming ‘iPhone-lite’ device, but the Apple Media Pad is ”supposedly smaller than Amazon’s Kindle, but with a larger touchscreen.”

It looks like this new iPhone will launch along side the iPhone OS 3.0, so it’s very exciting news for all iPhone fans.
