Sony PS3 exclusive Killzone 2 has impressed Japanese critics

The Japanese version of PS3 exclusive hits retails stores today and it has recieved very positive scores over there. While the FPS genre usually has no problems recieving attention in the US and EU, it’s often been a different story in Japan. Latest scores for the game though, have changed all that.

As PS3Center reports, the game has recieved a 90/85/80/80 score from Dengeki and a 32/40 score from Famitsu. This is rather good, considering they are two of the best gaming publications in Japan and often hand out stingy scores.

PS3Center also points out that Halo 3 is currently the best selling FPS over in Japan, with Resistance 2 behind that. Will Killzone 2 manage to overtake both of them? All signs are pointing towards yes.

YES I THINK KILLZONE WILL TAKE OVER, I OWN PS3 AND 360, I LIKE HALO3 AND RES2 GREAT GAMES, BUT THEY BOTH DONT COMPARE TO KILLZONE. KILLZONE IS THE BEST SHOOTER MADE TODAY, OVER ANYTHING ON 360. THAT GAME IS NOT EVEN POSSIBLE TO MAKE FOR 360, AS IT IS MADE FOR PS3, 360 DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH SPACE ON DISC OR CPU SPEED AND GRAPHICS CARD TO PULL THAT GAME OFF. THE PS3 IS THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN. I LOVE MY 360, I LOVE MY PS3 MORE, THE 360 FANBOYS NEED TO FACE THE MUSIC, THAT 2009 AND ON THE PS3 TIME. THE SONY EXCLUSIVES COMMING ARE A CUT ABOVE ANYTHING MICROSOFT CAN MANAGE WITH 360, THAT IS WHY THEY ARE BUILDING A NEW SYSTEM, TRYING TO LAUNCH BY 2012, THEY KNOW PS3 IS ABOUT TO WIPE THEM, LIKE I WIPE MY BUTT.
