Google Android OS v1.5 explained

Many of you were disappointed when Google launched it’s Android OS as you felt was it was released half-completed. On release it didn’t have support for an on-screen keyboard and homescreen widgets but thankfully thats all changed due to the release of the new Google Android OS V1.5.

As reported from IntoMobile, Google has posted fresh details, explaining some of the updates featured in detail. Users with access to the OS will now have new features such as a virtual soft-keyboard and much needed support for Widgets.

Google states that the new feature will give you a “quick glimpse into full-featured apps, such as showing upcoming calendar events, or viewing details about a song playing in the background.”

Yeah… When’s it coming. Google has dragged their feet on this forever and they screwed beta users by blocking access to their app market!!

Well I’m happy that the new android OS is being released. What I’m not impressed with is that it may not be available for the first gen G1Ls. I mean didn’t the people that purchased the G1 help make android so popular. Now there saying that its no compatible. There’s a text app that has a on screen keyboard. They will lose a lot of followers if the are gonna make people purchase a brand new phone just to get the new features. Not to mention the G1 is what, a yr old!. While I’m on that subject. Why is it that using a sdcard doesn’t denote the system running a lil faster. Isn’t tht what extra memory/starage should do! Works that way on computers!!! Hint hint! Also the apps should install to the sdcard, so it won’t take up so much memory from the phone. All the most need apps are kinda big, and there goes the memory. I’ve had a lot of phones, and smartphones, and those inbetween. I’ve never seen a smartphone use the extra memory to help the phone go faster. Can somebody explain this to me! Better yet, forward this to google! Thank you!

Android is really promising. Hopefully it grows and more developers and programers work with the platform.

we all want more. more functionality, more of this and that and the other.
So in the end it costs us more money because the people who make this now and who put up the money to take the andriod OS to the World staged Consumer market required share holders who wanted to make noney from their purchased shares in the OS/ Google venture. Now Google has to make their money back thats what its about. Money money money.
