AVG know a thing or two about security threats, and they believe that every day around the world at least two million web pages have hidden threats. The security firm has decided to launch a free link scanner download, which AVG says will help protect users of the Internet against what they call “random, invisible online threats”.
IT Wire are reporting that AVG reckon that every day at least 60 percent of those hidden threats shutdown or often moves to a different destination on the Internet. This certainly makes scanning more crucial, and as usual, AVG are offering this download for free.
This is a stand-alone version of the LinkScanner software, AVG do state that users of its security system will already benefit from this protection. Do not think that it is spammy sites that have hidden threats, any type of site can be affected, from a small business to a government department, AVG also informs us that even a major brand-name company could be affected by this security threat.
