Apple News: Offensive iPhone App gone

Who says that Apple does not listen to people, just hours after activists complained to Apple about an offensive iPhone App, Apple have decided to take the application off line. Baby Shaker was the name of the app, and I have to say was a little disturbing.

Baby Shaker gave the user a series of baby images when the baby starts to cry you then start to shake your iPhone until X’s appear over the baby’s eyes. You have to wonder how the app made it through Apple’s tough restrictions in the first place.

The Washington Post did a quick search for the application on the App Store and it certainly seems as if the app has now gone, other apps such as “Bible Shaker” “Salt Shaker” and “Stress Shaker, were still showing up though.

The Baby Shaker was very disturbing, even the introduction to the game was as well, saying that babies are everywhere, but you do not want them to be. What were your thoughts on the sick app?
