The Apple App Store is a great thing as it makes your iPod Touch and iPhone something greater than it was when you first removed it from its box. You are able to use these small devices to find restaurant, play games or even as a tool to level your painting. Now thanks to Rogue Amoeba, they have announced an app called Airfoil Speakers Touch, which will double as a remote speaker.
MacWorld explains that this iPhone app works in conjunction with Airfoil; this will allow you to share your audio over your home network. This companion Airfoil Speakers program will be able to turn your Linux, Mac or Windows computer into a remote speaker for iTunes or any other audio player.
Airfoil Speakers Touch lets you apply a unique name to your iPod or iPhone, a password is then required before you are allowed to stream music to it. You can even install an audio-level meter; this gives you something extra to watch as you listen to your music.
