Why you need 3G phones like new Sidekick LX?
By: Peter Chubb | April 22, 2009
We have had many people ask us why they need a phone with 3G, there has to be a good reason otherwise the new T-Mobile Sidekick LX 2009 and the Apple iPhone 3G would not have the technology. There are so many good reasons to have 3G, but there are also a few reasons why you should not rush into buying a handset with 3G built-in.
So let us see what 3G gives the Sidekick LX, the first great feature for the phone is has 3G-Enabled Social Networking Apps. This will allow you to network and interact with friends on the go thanks to a suite of social networking applications such; these include Facebook, MySpace, Photobucket and Twitter.
3G on the iPhone is much the same as any other phone as it gives you faster access to the Internet and email. Having a 3G iPhone is now even better as you are now able to download apps from the App Store; you are also able to make use of a number of cool applications that will use the phones 3G technology.
There are however, a few drawbacks with 3G, and you should consider one of the major ones before getting a phone with 3G. The 3G network only has limited coverage on a network, so you will need to check the coverage with your carrier to see if you will get 3G in the area where you will mostly want to use 3G.
