Sun Microsystems and Oracle News: Implications for mobile world

Following on from Oracle Corps’ buyout of Sun Microsystems, many feel that this deal has raised some interesting questions about the implications for mobile world and what the future lies ahead.
In a Gartner Blog report, they bring up the fact that Oracle has often had a ‘lightweight’ relationship with the mobile world in the past.
A lot of you have been asking typical questions in relation to topics such as Netbean tools, JavaFX projects, the JVM Business and the uncertainty surrounding open source releases such as PhoneME and LWUIT.
These are some of the questions that are top on people’s lists and ones that should be answered over the next couple of weeks.
