It is not just the economic climate that we need to keep a close eye on; it is the climate outside as well. There are a number of ways that you can keep an eye on the weather; the coolest way is with this Thermor BW976 Bios Home Weather Station for PC with its USB Interface.

The weather comes complete with a Wind Sensor, Rain Sensor, Temperature Sensor, Transmitter, and PC Weather Analyzer Software. This cool set measures the indoor and outdoor environment conditions with the thermometer, rain gauge and wind sensor and will transmit data every 128 seconds to the home monitor.

The USB connection allows you to store the weather data on your PC or notebook, making it a great analytical weather tool. The PC Weather Analyzer software that comes included allows you to keep the stored data and compare it later. Woot are offering the Thermor BW976 BIOS Wireless Weather Station for just $59.99.

We have been using one of these weather stations for two months and thoroughly enjoy it. We don't care if it is scientifically precise or not; we track the relative weather data for high and low temperature, humidity, barometric pressure as well as maximum wind gust, daily rainfall and prevailing wind direction. We record that data daily, put in into an Excel spreadsheet and it's fun to see how it tracks with our local weather.

This is a nicely designed product with many options as to how to set it up. After two months of using the remote battery powered transmitter option, we finally figured out a way to use the direct wired option using a $10 phone cord from Radio Shack.

    Great product at the price.
