Apple iPhone OS 3.0: Jibbler Voice recognition like iPod Shuffle
By: Alan Ng | April 22, 2009 | 1 CommentIt has been reported that the Apple iPhone OS 3.0 could be set to recieve voice control features shortly. Even more specifically, voice recognition features have been mentioned as possible options for the iPhone.
As reported from ArsTechnica, not many details are known as of yet, but we do know that this feature is going by the code name ‘Jibbler’. According to Ars, Jibbler appears be an enhancement to the iPhone SpringBoard application, which is the app which will support the new and upcoming 3.0 Spotlight search.
Jibbler is able to be controlled by using the iPhone headset, with buttons on the headset offering the option to record various voice segments if desired, giving users a feature similar to that of the iPod shuffle.
