Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC): Download and release date

It has been revealed that May 5th will be the date when the highly anticipated Release Candidate for Windows 7 goes live. The news comes after Redmond, one of Microsoft’s partners accidently revealed the details.

As reported from TheRegister, Redmond revealed the news on it’s website on Saturday, but this is has appeared to be an error from them as Microsoft has now removed the details.

The leaked details stated at the time: “Partners: If you have a subscription to MSDN or TechNet, you can download Windows 7 RC now. Otherwise, you can download Windows 7 RC starting May 5, 2009.”

We wonder how many more details about the release candidate will be leaked from now untill it’s official release from Microsoft. Let us know what you think.
