News on Palm Pre Release: Mass Production
By: Peter Chubb | April 21, 2009 | Leave a CommentWe reported last week that Palm has two release dates set for its new handset, the Pre. The two dates are May 17 and the other June 29. The date in May is the preferred date and hopefully if mass production has been started then the phone will launch then.
The date in June is just in case there is not enough stock. Afterdawn has learned from Ludle International that the Palm Pre is already in mass production and will be ready in time for the rumored May 17 release date.
Ludle International has said that the Pre is already well into mass production, and the company has been provided with an “example unit” and a packaging slip. The first impression of the Plam Pre is that it feels smaller than the Apple iPhone. The new smartphone is also less scratchproof and has a tougher back.
